1. Lapping of materials

Because the floor cloth has a certain width limit, in order to ensure the continuity of the floor cloth in the application process, there should be a certain overlap in the width direction during the laying of the floor cloth, and the overlap length should not be less than 10 cm (indoor) or 20 cm (outdoor). When indoor lapping, it can be placed naturally, while some additional fixing measures should be taken for outdoor lapping.

2. Construction of cushion

In order to achieve the effect of good water permeability and air permeability, flat appearance and certain surface strength, the bottom layer of the floor cloth shall be treated. In general, a coarse sand layer of about 10cm should be laid under the floor cloth, because the coarse sand has the characteristics of solid aggregate structure, large pores, small deformation under the effect of external forces, etc., which is very suitable as the surface cushion of the floor cloth. For the lower part of coarse sand, the treatment method shall be determined according to the local soil conditions. Generally, if the soil is solid and has good water permeability, a coarse sand layer can be directly laid on the surface. Otherwise, a gravel layer or a pebble layer of 10-15cm shall be laid under the coarse sand to ensure the water permeability of the bottom layer of the floor cloth and the strength of the surface of the floor cloth, which is conducive to the placement of crops and the walking of workers.

3. Color selection

Generally, black floor cloth can be used indoors or outdoors, while white floor cloth is mainly used indoors. When the white floor cloth is selected in the greenhouse, in addition to its general function, the white floor cloth also has the following auxiliary functions: (1) Strengthen indoor lighting, promote the photosynthetic effect of plants, and improve the quality and yield of crops. (2) Reducing the heat collection on the ground is conducive to lowering the air temperature and surface temperature in summer or tropical areas. (3) Through reflection, it can obstruct the survival of light intolerant insects behind the crop leaves in the greenhouse and reduce crop diseases.

2. Timely remove the accumulated water on the ground and keep the ground clean. The drainage function of the weeding cloth ensures the rapid drainage of water on the ground. In addition, the pebble layer and medium sand layer under the ecological weeding cloth can effectively resist the reverse seepage of soil particles, thus ensuring the cleanness of the surface of the weeding cloth.
