In railway, highway and other transportation infrastructure, the service life of the project is closely related to its own drainage system, among which geosynthetics are an important part of the drainage system.
The three-dimensional composite drainage network is a new type of geosynthetics, which is composed of a three-dimensional geotextile core with needle punched nonwoven geotextiles stuck on both sides. The three-dimensional geonet core includes a thick vertical rib and an inclined rib at the top and bottom, which can rapidly discharge the groundwater from the road. It also has a pore maintenance system, which can block capillary water under high load. At the same time, it can also play the role of isolation and foundation reinforcement.
Joint Lapping of 3D Composite Drainage Network
1. Adjust the direction of geosynthetics so that the length direction of the material roll is perpendicular to the road.
2. The composite geotextile drainage network shall be terminated, and the geotextile on the adjacent geotextile core shall be overlapped along the material roll.
3. Connect the geonet cores of adjacent geotextile rolls with white or yellow plastic buckles or polymer tapes to connect the rolls. Tape every 3 feet along the length of the roll.
4. The direction of overlapping geotextile shall be consistent with that of packing stacking. If the geotextile is laid between the foundation/base and the subbase, continuous wedge welding, flat head welding or sewing shall be carried out to fix the overlapping geotextile upper layer. If sewing, it is recommended to use flat head sewing or general sewing to meet the low requirements of stitch length.
